Mike Brankis is somewhat of a mysterious and misunderstood character in the Chicago dance scene. Repeatedly booked at many of the city’s highest profile techno and house nights from a young age, Brankis still holds an intentionally low profile in the scene. While everyone was out partying all weekend, Mike was working obsessively for years in his studio developing his own modern interpretation of the classic Chicago and Detroit acid sounds that captured his mind and soul more than a decade ago. Fast forward to 2010 and bright things are on the horizon with his first international release set to drop this spring along with the co-creation of his own Morning Glory Records imprint that will release their first 12” white label in June of 2010 along with good friend and co-creator Kirkwood West. Unlike the mass of Beatport Dj’s playing only what’s charted that particular week, Mike’s DJ sets and solo productions show a tonal sophistication that represents decades of electronic music influences, moody, highly emotional and always extremely danceable

A note from dj Iceberg.

I have been DJing seriously for about 7 years now but have had a passion for
music since before I can even remember. I got inspired to become a DJ when I
visited Hamburg, Germany as a foreign exchange student. I went to a
nightclub there and was immediately fascinated by the DJ. I came back to the
states and bought my first set of turntables and the rest was history. I
pride myself in really reading a crowd so my styles of music vary based on
the venue. I spin everything from House and Techno to Rap and Hip-Hop with
all the Mash-Ups in between. I have DJed with Red Bull for the past 5 years
at a variety of their events and parties. Currently you will find me
spinning at Stu's Nightclub in Charleston, Illinois and at various locations
in and around the city of Chicago. I am very excited to join the DJ line up
at Boltini and look forward to brining a new sound to the bar.

O’FALLON SMOKED PORTER

6% ABV O’Fallon, Mo ratebeer.com rating 88

Dark, rich and smoky…this classic porter is brewed with 63% German smoked malt and makes a perfect after dinner (or anytime) sipper for those who love a “bigger” beer. Winner of the Gold Medal in the 2004 Great American Beer Festival® for best Smoked Beer in America! 4.50

DOGFISH HEAD INDIA BROWN ALE

7.2% ABV Milton, DE ratebeer.com rating 95

A cross between a Scotch Ale, an I.P.A, and an American Pale, this beer is well hopped and malty at the same time. It is brewed with Aromatic Barley and caramelized brown sugar. Notes of molasses, coffee, ginger, raisinettes, chocolate 5.25

DOGFISH HEAD 90 MIN IPA

9% ABV Milton, DE ratebeer.com rating 100

FOUNDER’S BREAKFAST STOUT

8.3% ABV Grand Rapids, MI ratebeer.com rating 100

You’ve got to love coffee to truly appreciate this phenomenal brew. Brewed with an abundance of flaked oats, bitter and sweetened imported chocolates, Sumatra and Kona coffee. We’re actually not sure if this is some type of coffee cake or a beer. Either way you can drink this ale with a fork. Breakfast Stout has an intense fresh roasted coffee nose toped with a cinnamon colored frothy head that seems to never fade and makes you wish breakfast could last forever. 7.00

FOUNDER’S DIRTY BASTARD OATMEAL STOUT

8.3% ABV Grand Rapids, MI ratebeer.com rating 95

Founders flagship beer. Dirty Bastard is an absolute beautiful beer to behold. Dark ruby in color and brewed with ten varieties of imported malts this beer continuously lives up to its reputation as a bold and powerful ale. Dirty Bastard is complex in the finish with hints of smoke and peat paired with a malty richness, finalized with a good bit of hop attitude. This beer “ain’t fer the wee lads” 5.50

NEW HOLLAND CHARKOOTA RYE
